Violist Edith van Moergastel studied with Jürgen Kussmaul, Marjolein Dispa and Ervin Schiffer. She has won various prizes including the first prize in the National Competition of the Foundation for Young Musical Talent in the Netherlands, the Vriendenkrans Competition (together with the Reinaert Ensemble), and The Schott & Co prize at the Lionel Tertis Competition.

She has followed master classes  with Fiodor Drushinin, Yuri Bahsmet and Emile Cantor. Edith is currently a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. She enjoys performing with various chamber music ensembles.
